Started playing the game on Friday and I really was afraid of the game being nearly the same as FC2. But as it appears I was wrong, totally wrong.
The game really is amazing in every single point (as for me). Stunning graphics, dense atmosphere and a deep and nice story line with authentical characters makes this game (for me) the best release in 2012.
Below some Screenshots I made during gameplay and uploaded on Picasa (1920*1080 DX11 all maxed out).

I agree on most of your points. I love the story and as you said, the characters feel like they would exist in the real world. Vaas has earned a place in my top 5 villains of all time. As a side note, Vass' voice actor, Michael Mando, is phenomenal. It's a crime against gamers that the only other game he did voice work in was Shaun White Skateboarding. I have two complaints about the game, however. For a game that's been described as "Skyrim with guns" there sure don't seem to be too many of them. Guns, i mean. Not Skyrims. That'd be silly. Also, while the character's look amazing and the character animations are top notch, I really don't think the environments look that fantastic. There are some things that look awesome, like the way leaves realistically glow from the light behind them but otherwise I'm a bit disappointed.
"Skyrim with guns" Never liked that definition. But I agree. There could be a little more guns implemented in the game. On the other hand I think it would be silly for Jason to be able to use every single gun type as a mere civilian. But hey. The only thing I use is the sniper and my knife^^.
I totally agree on Vaas character. He's just like, in his behaviour, Joker from Batman. Like Joker from the woods. Totally nuts, but knows what he wants.

Far Cry 3 should boost me to the point you hear me in every game
Started playing 2 days ago on PC due to Steam only "releasing" the game 4 days after the official THQ release. Note: I bought a hardcopy on 16th and couldn't play until 20th.
My first impressions after 2h of gameplay:
The atmosphere and the story are just brilliant and after 15 minutes I was just like: Oh my god! *insert spoiler here* Combined with the amazing soundtrack I was just like: WOW!
Due to the more agile character known as Death, the fighting, jumping, climbing etc. are more fluent and look amazing.
The only negativ thing about the game on PC are the graphics. Fortunately THQ already announed an improvement patch which includes additional graphics settings other than just resolution an V-Sync.
I'm really looking forward getting ahead in the story.
PS: for everyone who played Darksiders 1, this game is an absolutely must-have.
So glad there is a patch on the way... Loved DS1, and DS2 is brilliant... Must agree on the soundtrack.. It makes me want to stand still and listen to it for hours...
I actually love that oriental track which plays during some fights. Unfortunately the fights are somettimes to short to listen to it completely. Even on apocalyptic difficulty. :( But that wants me to fight even more :)

Die Leitung von The Order versucht, für jede Zielgruppe das passende anzubieten. Wenn auch du Teil der Community sein willst, und deinen Teil zum Ganzen beitragen, dann melde dich entweder Ingame bei Nazral/Sentrio, oder melde dich einfach bei uns im Forum.

Blotus the Hutt ist bekanntlich ausgestorben, und dank des Servertransfers haben wir uns dafür entschieden, Jar'Kai Sword als unser neues Zuhause anzusehen.

Played the game for only 4 hours until now because of Diablo :P. But I really like the Combatsystem and I actually prefer Mouse + Keyboard over the XBox Controller. The combats feels a little bit smoother.
Need more DPS for my Monk, but I can't find any fist weapon and the Goblins won't drop anything but crap. And those in the auction house are just to expensive. But unfortunately I need more DPS in order to advance in Inferno :(
Does anyone have any fist weapon to sell? Preferred Stats: Dexterity, Vitality and Fire Resistance. DPS: 650+. Attack Speed +% would be great as hell :)

I bought a fist weapon with 830~ DPS, +60%~ crit damage, +17%~ atk speed, and a socket for 800k the other day. Sure no defensive stats but my DPS skyrocketted. Put a Star Emerald in there for +70% more crit damage for a total of around +225% and 22.5% critrate gives me 30k DPS with Breath of Heaven buff - now I just need to work on my tankiness, but I am around 520~ Resists in everything (also stacking Fire btw) 5k Armor and 32k HP
Works quite nice for me now. Managed to kill Belial on the first attempt. Playing with Breath of Heaven +damg rune, Air Ally, Deadly Reach with Armor buff and Blinding Flash +damg Rune. With everything up I get 22k DPS excluding my 24/48% + damg from my mantra, 36k HP, 9.6k Armor and 446 resistance. But I might change to the dodge mantra for act 3 when I got a better weapon
Inferno will be soloable.....sure....but not as a fucking melee.....getting one shotted by ONE stupid Elite....Got 67k HP, 53% Dodge and 4.3k Armor....
Uninstalled the Game because no time and no want to level a range to finally be able to clear inferno.
So. Goodbye Diablo, Goodbye Blizzard

Did some duoing with a Barbarian friend of mine. We only skipped one rare and one elite pack but only because the Rare pack was early on a floor and we managed to pull an Elite as well. And we managed to maintain all our magic find stacks from chapter 2 to Maghda where we quit. I got some gear, a new shield and a Daibo, so I can switch from a 20k+ dmg setup with less res/armor/hp to a like 16k+ dmg with 700+ resists and 8.5k armor. 32k and 35k HP respectively
Finally got some Gear and found the (for my playstyle) perfect skill combination. Maximum Burst kiting Skill. My Monk goes midrange with Deadly Reach and Lashing Tail Kick.

this shit is full of bugs.....hammering my immunity shield and nothing happens on diablo hell.....so awesome -.-.
Finished Act 1 on Hell Yesterday. It's getting tricky somehow^^. God damn random Champions and Rare packs

I've found it quite fun to find a skill combo that works in almost every situation. When you can just switch for any situation it doesn't feel as rewarding. I've replayed act 1 now a few times and there are definately packs of Champions and Rare that are just impossible or too costly to beat, then you just run, maybe even kite them to a location and die there so they are not in your way. But killing blues and yellows and keeping the buff up is fun, either solo or in party. Also, crappy drops is always something you have to expect, it sucks getting 4 Rare items and they all suck, but they can't all be good, that's why it's so awesome when they are and if you play with friends it's even satisfying when you find a good item for one of them
Finished Act 3 (Normal) yesterday. Can't wait to kick Diablo's butt. And another thing: How can people say they've cleared Normal is less then 4 hours and then complain about a bad and short story?
I didn't skip any cinematic, explored every corner of the regions and managed to find every book. It took me 11 hours to finish act 1 to 3. So I can tell that the storyline is amazing.
