Is esports for Shooters gonna die or will Halo 4 and counter strike global offensive bring it back? We see SC2, LoL, and other games in the spot light but where are the shooters? Please leave a comment , i would love to hear whats on your mind!
Hey Lucky, how's everything :D. I do think that shooters need the spotlight in events but the problem is that the sc2 and lol viewerships are too high and disparate from the shooter scene.
The shooter scene needs to get together and make a comeback :)
I'd love to see a new shooter emerge in the ESports scene, not really impressed by the upcoming Shootmania yet, but I know there are quite a lot on the way. The presentation of strategy games is so much easier tho, since in a bird eye spectator view you cannot really see the skill of a player, but in first person view you miss so much of the team/squad based strategy...
What’s wrong with Battlefield 3 and Counter Strike?
Battlefield 3 and CS aren't as big as SC2, LoL, and or fighting games. Back in the day CS was great and i hope CS:GO will bring shooters back to the spot light. Battlefield 3 is a Esport but where do you see it in the sport light like SC2 and LoL?
As an avid Battlefield 3 player ( casually, but a lot ) I just don't see how it can be truly good as a spectator sport. I understand playing it competitively, but I don't think its something people really want to sit down and watch. "Just another FPS" with some fun gameplay but hardly a spectator sport.
they have a 32v32 tournament going on at 21cwforums.com, very organized and they have been around for 10 years doing it. I will be streaming it from an outside PoV, sad part is they dont give the Esports world in Battlefield 3 and other games the tools for it to be fun to watch. I have to do a gun glitch and remove the hud to get a clear PoV. If companies that made FPS games started to make games for Esports and not just money FPS games would be great to watch. Give the community the tools they need and we will build it.
