Finished Act 1 on Hell Yesterday. It's getting tricky somehow^^. God damn random Champions and Rare packs
Congrats. I really liked hell, you have to come up with strats for certain combos, no more standing in fire, etc. but things get weird on inferno, after several runs I can solo act 1 on my barb pretty fast, but I die to the first trash in act 2. I know it should be like that, but farming act 1 for 20+ times doesn't sound like fun to me...
It's not only the tactics part. But I had to switch pretty often my skills in order to kill certain packs and to get crappy drops. I still don't understand the loottable. Why the hell is their intelligence and no dex on a monk only weapon?
because its all random... and you cannot switch your skills at 60 without losing your magic find buff :(
as you probably can tell I'm a bit disappointed by D3's end game...
I've found it quite fun to find a skill combo that works in almost every situation. When you can just switch for any situation it doesn't feel as rewarding. I've replayed act 1 now a few times and there are definately packs of Champions and Rare that are just impossible or too costly to beat, then you just run, maybe even kite them to a location and die there so they are not in your way. But killing blues and yellows and keeping the buff up is fun, either solo or in party. Also, crappy drops is always something you have to expect, it sucks getting 4 Rare items and they all suck, but they can't all be good, that's why it's so awesome when they are and if you play with friends it's even satisfying when you find a good item for one of them
