I've been doing Siegebreaker runs solo for a bit now with my Monk after doing them pretty easily in a duo with a Barbarian I play with often. The Siegebreaker was a bit tough for me with the build I used to duo with so I experimented a bit and came up with a build that worked so I could solo him. Basically I added the Mystic Ally so I can get the boss off my back as often as possible.

But then I changed my farm path and started going to the Caverns of Frost instead of Stonefort for the resplendent chest in the cave that is always there. The monsters outside the cave and inside as well hurt more than the ones in the earlier chapters of Act 3 and I felt I had to change something in my build and I've always wanted to work Transcendence back into my build cause I used to use that passive ever since it was available, only switching when I reached Act 2 and couldn't tank the enemies that well. And the result seems to be that I have a lot better sustain. With 62 HP per spirit spent I get 3100 HP from using my Mantra which I optimally want to be spamming every 3 seconds in battle anyways, as well as 1550 more HP from Breath of Heaven it makes that heal a little bit more beefy.

Worth noting about my Monk is that I have;

45,556 HP with Mystic Ally

5873 Armor (66.19% reduction, with Enchantress buff)

32.3% dodge

23% Block (3706-4704 amount)

680 Resists in everything (69.39% reduction vs lvl 60 mobs)

14% Melee Damage Reduction (from Legendary Belt)

355 Life per second

681 Life per Hit

2.46 Attacks per Second (with +3% from Enchantress)

26.5% Critical Hit Chance

50% Critical Hit Damage

+12% Movement Speed

25,925 DPS (with +3% from Enchantress), 29,814 (with Blazing Wrath) and 34480 with Foresight as well. I used to have even more DPS but sacrificed some for Life on Hit and other defensive stuff like that legendary belt with 14% Melee Damage Reduction as well as using a primary now that does less damage.

With Mantra of Conviction I also do 12% or 24% extra damage per hit, and 30% Weapon Damage per second. And the Mystic Ally does 40% damage per swing, and 60% when he does his taunt. Both my primary attacks also does 110% weapon damage as hitting multiple foes.

Also I have 2130 Thorns.

Best thing I've gotten so far when doing these runs is a one handed weapon that I sold for 6.25 Million (netting 5m something after tax) and some things that sold for around 600-1000k. And let's not forget I also got my current fist weapon while doing this run together with my barbarian duo partner, a fist weapon with a whooping 1136 DPS.

I see a lot of Monks complaining they can't solo higher up in Inferno and I couldn't either at first, but if you can't solo I guess I would suggest Duoing with a Barbarian. That felt incredibly powerful to me, they both complement each-other so well. Also it helps getting your DPS up, it really does. Also of course, stack one kind of resists when using One With Everything (so if Fire is your highest resist, getting an item with +50 Fire resist and +50 to all means you just got +100 to all).
