I'm glad he won, he's been on fire. Winning OSL and WCS Asia is HUGE for someone who just transitioned to SC2. Feel a bit bad for DRG who just hasn't looked the same since MC smashed him in the semi's of GSL Season 3.
I mean DRG is amazing, but he was unstoppable before. No-one could touch him. Maybe everyone else just caught up.
I kinda just feel like each player has his "moment", right? MarineKing felt untouchable at some point too, now he's "just" another strong Terran. I agree that Rain is crazily good for a just transitioning player. Imagine had he won GSL too, would have been crazy. Only MVP is completely untouchable and has been since the beginning.
I think there are players who play a good mental game, and others who are emotionally driven. MarineKing and DRG both seem to ride a wave of good fortune or bad, the more they win, the better they feel, the more they win. Then there's players like Seed who thrive when they're down to their last chance. But it's the cool and collected players like Rain and Mvp who seem to play consistently well.
