So, Pirate101 and Wizard101 were recently bought by Gamigo. I've been playing both games for year and had begun to despair that Pirate101 would die as all the love went to Wizard. But, now, I have hope that it's going to be revived!

So, I created a Guilded server for any Pirates and Wizards who would like to join. Feel free to jump in, say hi, and enjoy getting to know fellow scallywags and sorcerers.

Otherland has recently moved into open beta. So, naturally, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I couldn't even be bothered to make it past the tutorial, which is a shame because the concept is pretty cool.

When you start, you make a simuloid - a cybernetic representation of yourself within this network of worlds. You find out that some egocentric yahoo is doing something silly to tear the worlds apart and you have to try to at least slow it down in order to give everyone time to escape. (I like to think of it like all the characters from Wreck It Ralph abandoning their dying game.) Pretty neat, right?

What made me finally uninstall the silly thing was the repop rate on mobs in the starting area. I was tasked with finding energy blobs that I got by interacting with these ports-like features on the ground. The problem was that I kept getting attacked by mobs. And, okay...that's fine. I've played enough MMOs to be used to that. However, these guys popped so fast that the first one I killed didn't even have time to disperse before the next one formed. And, of course, when they attacked, I couldn't interact with the ports! So, I was standing in a neverending stream of mobs, fighting to try and get the 5 seconds I needed to get these energy blobs.

So, I shrugged and uninstalled.

Last night, my husband rented Destiny from Redbox. The installation process took so long, though, that we didn't get a chance to try it out. I imagine that he'll get his pew-pew on sometime this afternoon, and I can sneak downstairs to see what it's like

My son has decided that he wants to play DC Universe instead of Pirate or Wizard with me. That's cool. I don't have a problem with that. Not gonna lie, though. I'm kind of disappointed. I love Wizard and Pirate, but I'm not going to resub if it's just me when I know ArcheAge is around the corner.

ArcheAge is also what I am using the make myself resist the temptation that is Sims 4. No. I already have a new game looming on the horizon. No need to spend that money!

DCUO is a really solid game. I've been dinking around a bit with it on the PS4.

It is fun! I like the fact that if I don't feel like combat, I can fly around and look for collectibles.

Blargh! No. I am on the last story route in Virtue's Last Reward and they throw another puzzle room at me. I don't care. I don't want to do any more puzzles. I want to know the rest of the story!

I know what happened inside the Nonary Game. I know how it was orchestrated and I know the roles the different people played. But, I still don't know the purpose of the Nonary Game....and I'm not sure that I know who the main character really is, now. (The last route has given me doubts about that.)

No more puzzles! Answers...NAO! /goes to look for solutions because screw puzzles

I'm going to have to get Hashtag Dungeon when it is finished. The whole concept seems really neat and fun! From their dungeon editing YouTube video:

"Hashtag Dungeon is a rogue-like dungeon crawler with a unique social media twist: every dungeon you play in the game is made using tweets grabbed directly from Twitter. Players can use our in-game editor in order to tweet out their own dungeons, messages and creatures so that everyone else can play them! Lots of player's tweets come together in order to make awesome labyrinths for people to delve into.

Hashtag Dungeon was developed with the hope of fostering an active and involved community. During our closed alpha tests we've seen some amazing things done with the tools inside the game. We hope to continually update the game with new features, traps, enemies and bosses based on community feedback. We want to award our players for being creative! It's the most important thing!"

I'm nearing the end of Virtue's Last Reward. This has been one heck of a story! I think I have about 4-5 branches left to explore before I finally unlock the true ending and, let me tell you, I'm looking forward to it. I think I know what's happening. Kind of. Maybe. At least, I think I understand the circumstances around what is happening in the world outside of the Nonary Game, the trap that the characters are stuck in. However, I still have no clue why these people were abducted and put into the game
