The Adventure Co. Nook on

We need a place to discuss the game, setup, and catalog house rules, ask, and answer questions. Since Anook allows us to create forums and schedule events, it seems like this is the best FREE option that we have available to us.

If you're not a member, take a moment to join up. If you are a member, be sure to follow the Nook.

Next Steps:

We'll need to get everyone together at some point to discuss character creation, and the divvying up of party responsibilities. I'd also like to urge players to strongly consider their back stories, as the Inspiration system is a great way to gain Advantage while playing :D

Or I'd be dragging kobolds around the room slowly because everyone thought it would be more fun to kill something else instead.

But I understand 5e isn't so much of a tactical game as 4e, so maybe everyone scattering and doing whatever they feel like works better in 5e.

It's more old-school, and nowhere does it mention the Leader, Defender, etc.

Honestly, I've gone through the PHB and the free basic rules, and they're EXACTLY the same as far as the important stuff goes (character creation, combat rules, etc). The PHB has all the extra info like items and descriptions, arms and armors, and some additional info.

The Basic rules should provide 90% of all your character creation needs, however.

But we should still have a discussion/meeting to get everyone on the "same page" as it were.
