Neverwinter's "The Lair of the Mad Dragon" dungeon can be completed with only a 4 person team. It was not an easy dungeon for us even with the tank we had earlier, but then (s)he prema-dc'ed after the first boss fight. My great weapon fighter became the leader by default and I was on a corpse run back to help with the mob pulls before the second boss.

We cleaned up the trash and were recovering at the campsite before the second boss.

I couldn't figure out how to requeue for a tank without resetting the instance (yeah, I'm still learning the game) so I posed the question. Fight on, or retreat? My bookend partner weapon fighter gave a resounding "Hell yes!", our wizard gave a delayed "Sure.", and our cleric was mum. Probably due to the fact that (s)he was healing the toughest dungeon in her Neverwinter life. Two psychotic weapon fighter's in pure destroyer build with no tank can age you real fast. So we continued on. Made it to the last before campfire before fighting Chartilifax. Side note for our progression up to this point. You quickly learn how to think on your feet with a 2 weapon fighter, cleric, and control wizard dungeon group. Threat mitigation was mildly fubar with the damage we were outputting plus the cleric's damage/heals.

I became the designated add poker because I was using the jump attack (not good with names) which made it easier to quickly switch between boss, captain and grunt level mobs.

My brother in steel had lost his usual bravado and the wizard joined the cleric in silent reflection for this ready check. Even my usual happy-go-lucky persona had pulled an Elvis, but we were too hard-boiled and hard-headed to give up without a try.

And we had injury kits. :0) Everyone had their pocket healers out to lessen our cleric's load for this fight. And the fight? Yeah, it was as nutso as you'd think, but we put him down. And it was very fun. I lost the roll for the great weapon drop, but it was cool. We all hung around longer than pug-appropriate to say goodbyes and laugh about what we had just done, then we all went our merry ways.

And where is the screenshot or video evidence of our great accomplishment you may ask? My response? I ain't got no time for that. I was too busy fighting, running, and potion drinking for my life and having a ball. ;0)

Thanks for your time.

Merci Madame. :0) Yeah Boss. I know what you mean. I play everything right now. That's because 1) I'm crazy, and 2) I'm unemployed right now. When I start working again, I'm gonna have to pare my fix back down to one or two games for a few hours each week. :0)

This sucker is so big that no matter where in the area I was, my rare spawn finder would let me target him. Hey Madame Elloa, have you all downed this big guy yet?
