Hey everyone (who are at the present moment just me). I'm Jon and I'm the admin of our little slice of the internet. I'd like to think that this was a good idea, (this was done in my exam stress 10 hours before my property law exam running on no sleep and monster energy) having talked to a friend, a fellow gamer with irl problems. Sometimes we want to just talk to people who get where we're coming from.

We've all got these massive unavoidable disturbances in out gaming habits and I'd like to offer my commiserations. As someone whose gaming habits have been nigh destroyed by such primitive constructs as 'higher education' and 'relative success in life' I too know the pain of having to wrench yourself away from the keyboard or controller to 'become a normal member of society'. But funnies aside we've all got lives outside the games and I thought this would be a good place to pool up everyone who's got something to share about what they're doing when they're not stomping noobs or starting quests, leading raids or opening chests, training, taming or maiming or just playing their favourite game-ing and just have one big snuggle up by the fire telling each other about the horrors of irl.

I hope you'll join me on this one.

See you irl,

Jon

what's changed since my last anook post? well I got painfully close to gold last season as a support main, thinking of branching out into jungle because my last hittings skills have atrophied considabury and therefore it is impossible for me to kill things that don't just sit there like good little kids until I come to pick them up.(rito buff minion parenting skills pls) Built a gaming desktop that I think has reduced my chances of losing due to bullshit disconnects since it takes me about 5 seconds to get into game (I've timed it).

I can stream now, I made one video that was a bit shit, planning on making more soon as my january exams are over. Haven't played in a month and looking to be a big dog in season V.

Hopefully I can give you lot something to laugh at, and laugh with this year.

if there's anyone left, The 2014 is dead, long live 2015, et cetera.

Needless to say s3 killed any love I had for ranked at all.

demoted thrice from Bronze I down to bronze III (where the community seems to believe I belong and they solidify this with afk-ers) the only one promotion I managed was from bronze III to bronze II and this only lasted less than a week.

Not playing any more preseason ranked and it may be a while before I pick it up again.

But my new found love of alistar is something I'm keeping.

Learn from your mistakes (everyone makes some), learn to avoid making the same mistakes again, dodge every game you think you will loose because of unskilled/troll/unexperienced players (you will loose lp, but because your MMR doesnt go down, you will rank up faster since you are setting yourself to win more), also SPAM the hell our of champs you are good at, 70% win rate as Zyra? Play the hell out of her every game.

I am bronze 3 because I would simply play the role I was forced into, now I dodge games I don't get the position/champ I want and Ive been hitting promos like crazy, just gotta actually win 2/3 now lol so much trolls/bad players in bronze its crazy

Any experienced kayle players have any advice about playing her as a support?

because I've tried it a couple of times and it generally just didn't work as well as I'd hoped

I can't say to be an experienced Kayle player but as support in the preseason with the improved support gold gain there are better champs for the support role (Annie, Fiddle, Taric, Thresh, Leona). But, if you build her in the right way she can become a great peeler because you have a massive slow and the heal is a movement speed buff too+the ultimate. If your adc can get fed you can grant his safety alone and to do so you need 40% cdr as soon as you can, some mana regen to keep spamming heals and slow and some tankyness to survive in the fight and, if you want, you can take some damage too to be more than just a tank/peeler. I haven't tried support Kayle yet because I prefer other support (I love Karma support :3) but it can be totally viable

Haven't played her as support for a long time but she can be really good as a protector type of support, you don't want to take too much initiatives but you can punish any mistakes the enemy makes really hard.

With the new gold income i would certainly get the Athene's grail for the cdr and mana regen (after sightstone and boots), and then maybe some ap or whatever is needed.

Also i wouldn't get her if the adc doesn't have any dash, you don't have any hard cc.

Good luck with her :)

There is a certain time with jungle udyr where you stop feeling like a champion and start feeling like a force of nature.

Support isn't just a role, it's a state of mind.
