Hey there!

I thought I would share my current 1.6.5 Sorcerer build which I call ”Tesla Coil” #ESO

First out a little info regarding equips and numbers:

I’ve decided to compose this TC only including craftable gear to reach more casual players.

But if one wish, and as I am playing at the moment:

2 pcs Engine Guardian set

5 pcs Seducer (Infused on Chest and Legs & Divine on Arms, Waist, Feet)

Light of Cyrodiil Ring x 2

Craftable setup and version:

3 pcs Willow’s Path:

Head:

Light Armor, Willows Path, Infused, Health enchantment

Shoulder:

Light Armor, Willows Path, Divine, Magicka enchantment

Inferno Staff (and Restoration Staff):

Willows Path, Precise, Flame enchantment (me being a Dunmer)

5 pcs Seducer:

When it comes to my 5 pcs set, I have crafted it in both 5 pcs Light and 5 pcs Heavy to easily swap depending on the situation w/o having to loose the precious spell cost reduction that 5 pcs Seducer provides. I’ve gone with Infused on both the Chest and the Legs pieces of both the Light and Heavy Armor set. Why? Because these pieces (+ head) provides a larger bonus to the Infused trait. Hitting them with Health boosts my health plenty enough to provide better survivability:

Chest: Seducer, Infused, Health

Arms: Seducer, Divine, Magicka

Waist: Seducer, Divine, Magicka

Legs: Seducer, Infused, Health

Feet: Seducer, Divine, Magicka.

Attributes:

Magicka: 31

Health: 31

Stamina: 0

Boon (Mundus stone):

The Mage (increases maximum magicka and scales with the Divine trait)

Champion System points:

The Apprentice: 23

The Lady: 20

The Lord: 4

The Tower: 10

The Lover: 13

Ok, so now on to the goodie-goodie:

I’m running Energy Overload as an Ultimate which actually provides one EXTRA ability bar while activated, and since that ultimate isn’t a one-shot or draining over time, it is actually one EXTRA bar.

PVP BARS:

Bar #1 (des staff):

1. Crystal Fragments

2. Velocious Curse

3. Crushing Shock

4. Hardened Ward

5. Inner Light

6. Energy Overload

Bar #2 (res staff):

1. Ball of Lightning

2. Healing Springs

3. Power Surge

4. Thundering Presence

5. Inner Light

6. Shooting Star

Overload Bar:

1. Crystal Fragments

2. Velocious Curse

3. Endless Fury

4. Ball of Lightning

5. Inner Light

Rotation is quite simple and it’s a playstyle that delivers lots of fun, quick reactions and nice diversity; Inner Light >Power Surge > Thundering Presence > Hardened Ward > Velocious Curse (repeat) > Crushing Shock > Crystal Fragments (time the proc with the explosion of curse). Get the enemy down in resources then charge with Ball of Lightning to stun > Crystal Fragments (knockdown) > Crushing Shock (DEAD!)

Or, go for the very very cool sparky rotation:

Activate Overload > Curse > Ball of Lightning > Curse > Endless Fury > Curse > Crystal Fragment timed with both the Curse explosion and hopefully the Endless Fury -20% execution. Boom!

PVE BARS:

As PvE is very diverse these two bars are more or less recommendations and adjustments are needed to fit your current situation and purpose.

Bar #1 (des staff):

1. Crystal Fragments

2. Endless Fury

3. Crushing Shock

4. Velocious Curse

5. Inner Light

6. Energy Overload

Bar #2 (AoE bar, des staff):

1. Lightning Flood

2. Pulsar

3. Power Surge

4. Thundering Presence

5. Inner Light

6. Negate/Atronach/Shooting Star/War Horn

Overload Bar:

1. Crystal Fragments

2. Endless Fury

3. Lightning Flood

4. Velocious Curse

5. Inner Light

Bar #2 is a trash mob / heavy AoE bar that allows you to hit Power Surge & Thundering Presence to gain a lot of resistance and healing then let mobs surround you lay down Lightning Flood > hold block > spam pulsar > repeat Lightning Flood when needed. Crazy good AoE damage and fair healing…

In a boss fight the AoE bar could be changed to include:

Entropy

Dark Exchange

Elemental Drain

etc.

Well. That’s my current build 4 days after release. It might change a lot but as for the moment, I’m satisfied with it! Update 6 did mess up my DPS but this new more reactive gameplay is muuuch more fun than just spamming 1-2 skills.

"Thunder Fists" ;) I like the picture to the right :D It's good to see there are people out there who love the sorc w/o complaining and shitstorming ZOS for "buff sorc"

Yeah, I'm never going to ditch my Sorcerer. He's been with me since early-access. Even though we've suffered by a lot of changes, it's really about trying to stay positive and finding ways to cope with changes. Honestly, I like my new build much more than the pre-1.6 one!
