[WoW] to Hellfire and Back

He didn't know how much longer the magical wings would last. They were granted by the goddess Aviana herself to serve him when needed most but he was pretty sure they would not be immune to the green flames. As he soared away from the ironclad fortress that now shone with a dull sickly green light, he reflected on what he had seen and decided he needed to tell the others. At that moment one of the flak cannons below spewed out another ball of felfire which hit him in the back. His hastily improvised shield absorbed most of the impact but seeing as he wasn't proficient enough with the Light to conjure a decent one, it popped and he felt the flames singe his robe. His controlled descent out of Tanaan Jungle turned into a increasingly speedy fall from the skies. Just before he hit the water he could've sworn he heard a distant voice whisper his name...

'Sav...SAV!' He opened his eyes to a familiar face and familiar surroundings. He was back in his garrison and one of his guildmates was sat besides his bed with a wet cloth to moisten his forehead. 'Wha- what happened?' 'You fell you crazy git! You could've been killed if one of our own hadn't seen you crashing from the sky like a deranged meteor!' The woman slapped him in the face, gently enough to not bruise him but hard enough to knock him back to his senses. Savian sat up in his bed and sighed deeply. 'I had to be sure, I had to check for myself if the rumors were true'. After this he paused, looked down and rubbed his temples slowly. 'And? Was it true?' The woman had put down the cloth, her hands folded in her lap now and a worrying look spread across her face. 'Did you see it.. did you see him?'
'I did, it's all true', Savian said. 'Send out the summons dear, Whitestar is needed again'.

He looked around the table and counted the heads of all who showed up. This little, he thought to himself, oh how many losses we have suffered. And we're not home yet. He cleared his throat to quiet the room and then started his speech. 'As you all might've heard by now, the rumors are true. I went to Hellfire Citadel on my own..'. Murmurs erupted amongst the gathered, clearly in disapproval but he waved them all to silence again. '... on my own to verify them. The Iron Horde we worked so hard to defeat the past few months on this strange world has been taken over by Gul'dan and they turned to demonic powers again'. Whispers started again, louder this time. 'Quiet please!' someone shouted at the back. Savian looked over and saw the smallest Gnome with the biggest voice he knew, a Felguard obediently by her side. Everyone went silent once more. 'It seems history is poised to repeat itself and this isn't even the worst news I'm about the deliver to you all. I witnessed firsthand some of the horrors in that fortress. A sleeping mechanical giant the size of a Fel Reaver. I hope you all remember those from the Outland campaign? Hundreds and hundreds of fel-tainted orcs and assorted wildlife. And.. Gul'dan himself. I couldn't make out exactly what he was doing before I got caught and had to fly out of there but I know a summoning rune when I see one. And this one was the biggest one I have ever seen. That can only mean one thing..' The dozen or so members of his guild were completely frozen as he said those last few sentences for they all knew only one sort of demon required that much space and power to summon: a lieutenant of the Burning Legion, an Eredar Lord the likes had not been seen since Archimonde assaulted the World Tree and Kil'jaeden tried to slip through the Sunwell into Azeroth. 'So..', he continued, 'this is my plan..'

Savian channeled his voice into the two hunters' minds at once using his shadowy mind powers. 'What do you see through your scopes? '
Two voices replied back, one after the other as they had agreed upon. The first one gruff and jovial, unmistakenly dwarven and male. The second soft but firm, female with an accent not unlike his own native Northshire one. 'All clear on da northern side, sir!'
'South is packed with fel orcs guarding the gate'.
'Alrighty, return to the rallying point ye both, we'll be leaving in 10'.
Both hunters converged on the makeshift camp from different sides, checking the growths of jungle plants behind them to make sure they weren't followed. There stood their companions on their assortment of mounts. Dark horses and flaming steeds, mechanical constructs and subdued boars. Savian sat atop his undead charger, liberated from the clutches of one of his most hated foes and loyal to a fault. He unfolded the white and blue banner as he took his place at the front of the pack and suspended it by his side so the warm moist jungle breeze gently swayed it. 'One more hurdle', he shouted as he turned towards his companions, 'one more enemy to defeat, one more obstacle that stands between us and our goal: HOME!' He pumped his fist into the air to empower this last word, this word that had kept them going all this time. Through hardship and loss. Friendship and loyalty. Ogres, Orcs and the savage beasts of Draenor. He turned his steed to face towards Hellfire Citadel and started the charge, screaming to both his companions and the enemies up ahead the whole way there. With him charged everyone living he still cared about: a Dwarf, a Pandaren and a Worgen, a trio of Gnomes and a handful of Humans. The only companions he had left.
'For the Alliance! For the fallen! For Whitestar! FOR VICTORY!'

On the southern edge of the Citadel, standing on one of the many bulwarks that lined the massive walls stood a cloaked and hooded figure. It was an Orc, but hunched over with gnarly hands grasping a staff and a green tint radiating from his skin. From behind a monstrosity approached that could only be one of the many servants of the Legion. 'My Lord Gul'dan, it seems the assault has begun'
The warlock peered out towards the path that was thundering with the hooves and paws of oncoming soldiers. Their white and blue banner streamed in the soft breeze that smelled of sulfur and death. Behind them another force broke free from the surrounding jungle, their strange teacup-and-spear banner also prominently displayed. 'Let them come', he spoke as he turned around and headed inside, 'they will submit to my Master... or die'.

Tomorrow patch 6.2 Fury of Hellfire will release and with it the Tier 18 raid Hellfire Citadel. It will feature 13 new bosses, among them some you might recognize from WoD questing and dungeons and maybe even a few from other expansions.
But before we dive into the new content and what looks to be an amazing new raid, I'd like to thank all of you who have stuck with it for this long and who helped made this guild the awesome place it is today. Special thanks go to the raiders who have helped clear Tier 17, both those still active and those who chose not to continue their subscription. Heroes, every last one of you! We managed to clear 6 out of 8 bosses in Highmaul heroic and 8 out of 10 bosses in Foundry heroic and that's an amazing achievement. I'm proud!

I'm looking forward to the many adventures that lie ahead and to take down he-who-shall-not-be-spoiled at the end of HFC. See y'all there!

Whitestar Guild Tavern [RP Event]

*you see a letter pinned at the door after you left your house. It looks rough and a little crumbled but you unpin it. Attached to the writing are some little paintings of a woman behind a counter and some other pictures of groups and activities. You begin reading the written text in little faded ink*

Dear Whitestar member,

as you are part of our guild for quite a time we gladly invite you to our weekly night in the tavern in Rivenspire. You shall share some meat and mead with your friends and family, you may even bring a pet or bodyguard of yours, as this countryside is known for threat by vampires.

Day: every Tirdas
Time: starts at 20 pm but you are gladly invited to be there earlier, later or any time that day
Place: Rivenspire, Shornhelm, the local tavern "the Dead Wolf Inn"

*you can see a little map sketched next to the writing*

If you never have been in this place you are free to send a letter to a guild member who will gather his/her mights of magicka and summone you to the place.

There are no duties this night as heroes also need time to rest and brag about their victories or share stories of fallen comrades. But we never know which activities can be followed by simply sharing a beer together..

*you take a look at the attached little paintings again*

*you put those away again, puzzled by the picture of the naked man, clearly not meant for you to recieve*

Looking forward to see you on Tirdays!

SUMMER GAME - Chain Postcard game

Greetings everyone!

I had the idea this morning of a nice Community game, and could not wait to share it with you!
This game will last the WHOLE SUMMER, so from today 5-06-2015 till 01-09-2015.

WHAT'S THE GAME
The game is a chain of Postcards sent by Whitestarian to others Whitestarian during the whole summer. Postcard would be screenshots taken to look like a Postcard (it's not forced to add a text such as "Wish you were here". The Screenshot can stay untouched if it look like a possible postcard)

SENDING
The first person to start the game will sent a Postcard from his/her current game to another player that he/she doesn't know very well: Preferably someone from Whitestar that is not currently playing the same game. This Postcard need to include an Image (Screenshot looking like a Postcard) and a little text.

For that, post your image on Whitestar wall, and write your "letter" in the description of the image, tagging the person you are sending your Postcard to.
You also tag the Game related to your Postcard.

For example:
Dear @Ramagh,
I'm spending great time in Malabal Tor, exploring the jungle and enjoying the sunset with the soothing song of the waves crushing on the beach.
I wish you would leave the sands of Stros M'Kai and explore Tamriel one day! I would show you some amazing places!
Take care, Your friend, Elloa

ANSWERING
@Ramagh in return should answer to me, as comment in my image. Because its polite.
But most importantly, he must sent a new Postcard to someone else.

And the game continue....

LET'S START
Amusing isn't it? I hope this game will amuse everyone, anbd will put a lot of life in our nook and in Anook in general!
You can choose any games you are currently playing, there is no limit!
I'll let few days for someone to start the game.

Let's have fun and enjoy the summer!
