In order to make sure this Nook remains as high quality as possible, I'm taking rule suggestions from you guys.

Let me know what you think, what might be best to keep things from sliding south, and generally what kind of use you'd like to see out of this Nook.

It's where procrastinators go to procrastinate from procrastinating.

A time sucking vortex. The destroyer of work.

In short, reddit is forum for both discussion and sharing of content. It is a community made up of communities, all with different purposes, rules and content. Another way to put it would be a democratic content aggregation site in which people submit links or topics of discussion to various categories and people vote up or down on that content to push it up earning higher visibility or push it down earning lower visibility.

At face value the default subreddits are a meme factory and generate nothing but inanity. It's true value lies beneath, in the thousands upon thousands or subreddits. Want quality gaming discussion? www.reddit.com/r/games. Want content about a specific game? There'll be something for it. Want local area news? Bet it exists. Or do you want pictures of birds with arms? There's a subreddit for that too www.reddit.com/r/birdswitharms.

But, do mind what you click, it's not all happiness and rainbows. All redditors bear the scars caused by clicking an image before reading the link at some point.
