I tried to add a couple of screenies to the ArcheAge album. When I try I get this error:
PHP Error [8]
Indirect modification of overloaded property PictureForm::$player has no effect
Any ideas why I'm getting that?
I can only upload 1 pic at a time or I get an error, but it's a different error message.
OK so it seems like I can add images to the FF XIV album, but I get the error trying to add one to ArcheAge, Neverwinter and Aion (didn't try the rest). So a permissions thing maybe?
Hmm and I could add the same images to an album I created in my profile:
http://www.anook.com/album/703
I checked the permissions for Member and it's all set to upload pictures.
I checked the permissions on Neverwinter & Aion and they're set to allow members of Alliance of Awesome to upload pictures to the albums. They're set up just like the FFXIV one.
I cannot check the ArcheAge permissions as I did not create it.
Maybe it's a bug?
Yeah, must be. I'll see if I can find a place to submit bugs to the Anook team. Thanks for checking permissions, though!
Major kudos for Anook.
I wrote to them about this problem, they responded within a couple of hours thanking me for bringing it to their attention, and this morning I had a follow up email saying it had been fixed. I uploaded a random image to the Aion album (one of the ones that didn't work yesterday) and sure enough, it worked!
My problem with uploading images is the size limit. For some reason my screenshots are over the size limit. Which sucks because I don't really want to edit all the ones I want to share.
@Saia We support up to full HD images, how big are yours that they aren't fitting? :D
6.72 MB
They're also BMP format if that makes a difference.
I was trying to upload multiple screenshots at once too. I never did try just one at a time.
@Saia Yeah, I can't confirm the file size limit right now, but I did just convert the one you sent me to .jpg, which shrunk the file size a ton, and that uploaded with no problem. BMP is a really unnecessarily large file size for just internet viewing and such. I'll update this post when I confirm the max file size, but it might be 6 MB.
Gotcha. I'll have to see if there's a way to change the default picture type in ESO.
That's easy enough to do:
http://tamrielsentinel.com/game-guides/change-screenshot-format-to-jpg-pc/
In TESO's UserSettings.txt file (mine was in C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live ) search for
SET ScreenshotFormat "BMP"
and change it to
SET ScreenshotFormat "JPG"
