This was the suggestion of @WilhelmArcturus to have a non-challenge oriented area for folks to chit chat. I made it so as it were :)

Well, not so much non-challenge related as not directly related to posts, which seem to be coming out in abundance. My Feedly stream is full of posts starting with the word "Blaugust," which is cool, but a bit disorienting too. The word "Blaugust" over and over and over makes them all sort of blend together.

I am having a moment of immense post fertility, and have an easy dozen posts I could write about this week. However it being Blaugust, that means I should meter them out more slowly so as not to miss a day... but not too slowly lest events supersede what I was planning on writing.

How are other people faring so far? Topics beyond the horizon or fears of a drought only three days in?

Both, because I tend to sit down at my keyboard and just let my stream of consciousness take over (as might be readily evident from my posting style). On the one hand there's always something I could bang on about... and on the other I'm afraid of the return of the "Who wants to read YOUR shit" beast. Hence Blaugust, to show myself that the beast is really just some guy in a monster suit with a zipper up the back.

As for you -- there's no reason not to post more than once a day, right? If the content is news-like or otherwise sensitive to time passing, prioritize those. And be glad you have a zillion things to write about!

EDIT -- and make yourself a Blagust 2015 collection. That way you can TOTALLY IGNORE IT if needed and not get overwhelmed by the Beatles' Number-Nine-like repetition of a single term.

I'm doing okay for the moment.

I have 8 drafts sitting there waiting for publication and some ideas for other posts, not even looking over the prompts that folks have kindly written out. I'm keeping my posts short, though (well, short for me), and breaking up anything too long into multiple posts. This seems to be working. :)

The "posts blurring together" thing is precisely why I've tacked Blaugust on to the end of my title rather than the beginning. Blaugust is a thing I'm doing, not what the posts are about. ^^

I spent a day debating where or how to add blaugust to post titles....now you're all making me feel bad. -_-

I'm definitely feeling droughty, mostly because what I'm playing isn't earthshakingly novel. It's more, yep, leveled up X levels today, harvested Y amount of resources, did the equivalent of tidying my room in an MMO, straightening up bank slots or room in my inventory.

Being naturally wordy has its advantages though. I know all I really need to do is find a screenshot or writing prompt, talk about it for a while and I'll probably exceed the mininum required without noticing.

It's the old bugaboo of "oh, I don't think what I'm doing is interesting, why should anyone else care?" Objectively though, sometimes it's those throwaway posts that elicits the most reaction.

It's hard for me to mentally manage all of these different platforms which many of y'all seem to float between effortlessly. I spend time writing and cross-posting and then POOF! All of my time is gone and I haven't +1'd anything on Anook yet. I can favstar on Twitter provided I can keep up with my now-gargantuan timeline...how do the rest of you do it?

I chose not to include Blaugust in my title, and I think Jaedia summed up why nicely.

As far as writing goes, I'm already on a drought. I thought this would be the case once the week started though, as I get barely any time to play games or read blogs. Fluff posts inc! :P

I take it 10 minutes at a time and am finally at peace with the fact that there is just too much great content coming out for me to keep on top of. Instead, I try to read posts that appeal to me, while making an effort to at least click on a few different blogs I don't recognise.

I err in favor of simplicity, ignoring anything I can't figure out. This whole favoriting and liking and +1 thing? Nope. Don't get how to do it. *mentally crumples into a ball and tosses over shoulder* Twitter info spam? Aaaaiiiee.

I just click old-school on the Day X post threads and open up each and every thread. There, one guaranteed pageview, and I at least scan/skim-read every single post as my silent contribution, randomly commenting here and there as stuff catches my eye.

Wellll ... I've got my blog set to auto-tweet/Facebook/G+ new posts. Twitter I can do purely because I've done it for years. I manage it with lists, which you can add columns for in TweetDeck, and accepting that I'm going to miss most stuff. I have a list of about 150 people which is my "main" list, I guess.

As for favouriting, liking +1ing, if I see it and like it I do it, but no sweat on that one. The main thing is getting YOUR content out where you feel you should, then if you want to/can - interacting with people, THEN anything else. ^^

I'm really enjoying getting back into the rhythm of being creative again every day. It's been a long time (basically since last year).

The only bit I'm not liking is the need to have the word Blaugust and the day in the title or subtitle, but I appreciate the administrative nightmare the whole thing must cause poor Belghast, so I'll lump that. I went with it smack bang in the titles, because I never got subtitles to look any good over at the Leaflocker.

I fell in love with a few bloggers styles by this time last year, but I haven't yet found those few that I want to keep following after the month finishes..have others found those precious few for them yet?

I have a few future posts in my head, and a video or two, but I wouldn't say I'm in that great a place right now for getting all 31 done. I'll have to think harder. I have some things to write on my food blog, but I'm not sure if I should be spreading these around 2 blogs and YouTube, may get confusing.

I've been finding lots of great new blogs. My Feedly is full and happy. Now I just need to read them all! Now that the long weekend is over, that should be easier.
