Well, it's time to say goodbye to this game. Best of luck to those I leave behind.
While I can't say I agree with your perceptions of these issues, I can understand it if I put myself in the shoes of someone who has been burned by MMOs in the past. I am one that has only played one MMO in my life and that MMO was SWTOR and that games F2P conversion exploits are rather legendary it seems.
I'm not worried that ESO will go F2P anytime soon, it's got such a massive potential playerbase it's silly. They just can't please everybody though and it's unfortunate you ended up being one of those they haven't pleased.
I also hope you're proven wrong so you might be convinced to come back to the game and enjoy yourself as much as you seem to have in the past.
Sorry but I just feel like a lot of the ones who are jumping ship at this point are just disappointed they couldn't manage to mold the game into something it wasn't quite intended to be. Granted I didn't have the personal access to the game that others have had so I don't know what promises were made to the PTS folks but I remember getting excited about ESO because it wasn't an MMO like all the others. It's not just addons I'm talking about either. The questing, the over all feel of the game that I enjoy so much seems to bother you. You say so yourself in various comments. All the gutting that you feel is going on to me feels like a return to the original promise. I respect that you don't like the game but, aside from the cash shop, I don't think you should be any more disapointed in this game then you might be with a My Little Pony MMO. Assuming of course you wouldn't like that game. I'm not judging. Anyway, I hope your next project will be as interesting for you and your followers. Although you may would have been better off making your anouncment after launch. The next game dev you court may be a bit more reluctant to offer the same access after a reversal like this on the eve of release.
@Isarii, I can't say your reasons are unfounded. I can completely understand your concern and feel that ZOS is going against what they originally stated. I however will stay with the ship in hopes she lives on and prospers, I'm sorry that you won't be joining us. Hope you find a game you truely enjoy!
awww yeeaah! Two of the few punk albums i really like. I hope Wattie gets well soon. A new album would kick ass! :D
I had never heard of them before but that album is pretty amazing. Looking forward to what they will do next in some years :D
Imo the new album is Fleshgod Apocalypse light :( It's still good tho
The Greek mythology does it for me :D
